Chances of invite with 75 points are low as per current trend.
State invite may happen but cannot be estimated.

It looks like i mis-read the points to be 85 points for 189 instead of 75. I apologize.
I usually write the points also with my answer so that i know what i answered and for what points but in this case, i probably missed out.

Can you tell me if 80 points (software engineer category) has any chance of invite under 189 Visa category? is there any realistic chance ? if not what minimum score you suggest one must have?
Points requirement should come down if the number of invites are high (1000+) in next two draws including Dec 11, 2019.
I think 80 points will get invite in either Jan or Feb if the invite numbers are kept high.

aha so there is no way to get invitation with 75 for subclass 189 even if it take one year maybe?

There is no guarantee that Immigration rules and invites will stay same or will change in one year.
So, can’t estimate it.
If you believe in any invitation estimates you are just fooling yourselves. Both ISCAH and this forum have predicted many invitations dates… rarely any has come true…
You say you have 80 points and want to know if you have any chance, I will give you some facts which you can verify yourself if you don’t believe it:
There is a backlog of 90 pointers in software engineers from May 2019 and a backlog of 85 pointers from Feb 2019…
Unless the number of invites significantly rise(which won’t happen because of reduced quota) this backlog will grow larger and without suger coating it unless you have 90 points you can forget about 189 any time in the near future. Its a sad truth but its how it is now.
Yes @Zeon this is what i was trying to understand. People on forum keep on posting some random information which is far from truth. The one you said i totally agree and this is the current situation with Australia PR, If one doesn’t have 90 points then no realistic chance of getting invite.

I have received an invite for 491 yesterday. Do you recommend to wait for 189(85 points for 261313 with EOI on 10 SEP 2019) or proceed with this as I’m worried about the job oppurtunities in the regional designated areas(other than sydney, melbourne etc)?
And also what are next steps and documents required further for 491.

The invite seems to be a generic one and not particularly from a state as I dont see any state name mentioned in the invite correspondence. This is family sponsored invite.(with my sister being a resident of ACT)
Documents would be specified by the state which sponsored you.
Job opportunities are good in ACT as per my information.

I am planning to apply for 189 but my points are 70(along with spouse). If I get Superior English, my points will become 80. My question is, is that a good score to get invitation(Software Engineer)? Or should I stop wasting time and money on this?
