ACS ICT Major but not closely related result clarification

Hi, I received the following result and need some clarification:
Your ICT skills have been assessed as unsuitable for migration under ANZSCO Code 262112 (ICT Security Specialist).
The following qualifications have been assessed as not being closely related to the nominated skilled occupation

**Your Master of Science in Information Technology completed January 2015 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Master Degree with a Major in computing.

**Your Bachelor of Computer Applications completed December 2008 has been assessed as comparable to an AQF Bachelor Degree with a Major in computing.

Your work experience has been calculated as follows on the basis of full time employment of at least 20hrs per week:

01/16 - 09/22 - 0 year(s) 0 month(s)
Security Specialist - Not Assessable Due to Insufficient Payment Evidence

I submitted experience from 2009-2022 but only 2016 onwards were calculated.I dont understand why. My QUESTION is, does it mean even if I submit the necessary pay evidences, the number of skilled years I can claim is 01/16-09/22 i.e 6 years 9 months only? Will ACS cut 6 years from that because its ICT major+Not related to ANZSCO code? I am confused. Someone please kindly clarify

Hi Anil, one more clarification please. I read the article you shared. Looks like even if Degree is ICT major+Not related to ANZCO code(but with ANZCO related experience), you can have a positive result with 6 years deducted.Am I correct?I heard if the occupation is not closely related to the ICT major, the result comes out negative even if you have the relevant experience. Kindly advice.

If the occupation is related, the result should be positive.

That’s what they evaluate that your roles and responsibilities are similar to the ANZSCO code that your selected.
