Applying PERM/GC from Outside US

Hi @anil_am22 ,

This is for a friend of mine. He is looking to join my company(VMware) back in India location.

Can he file for PERM/GC application from outside the US, if he satisfies all the requirements from outside the US, while still working in india, or is there a requirement to stay in the US while filing for it

Please let me know, he’s basing his decision to join depending on which employer does the GC for him

A US employer can file PERM and GC for any person irrespective of their physical location.

The employee can keep working outside the US and the US employer can still sponsor his PERM/GC in the US.
