Australian PR 263212 - ICT support engineer

Hi Anil,

I have applied for EOI in first week July 2019 with 70 points in the category of ICT support Engineer for the subclass 190. Is there any realistic chance of getting the invitation?

I study in Australia only but my occupation was in Journalism and Mass Communication with honors. My work experience is in I.T. and I have more than 8 years of experience which also include 4 years plus working in Australia only. Is there any way I can increase my points count as well.

Hi Guys,

Really appreciate a response for the above query?

Hi @Vinay

Chances are low for an invite with 70 points for support engineer.

All options to increase points are given here.

Hi @Anil,

Thank you so much for your reply, I agree with other comments people have left on this forum. You are doing a great job with this forum.

One thing Anil, My wife has completed BSc gen. and Masters in biotechnology and Masters in zoology. She also has work experience working as a lecturer ( Biology and Zoology) in Rajasthan university. Is there any occupation which is good for skill assessment done.

Hi @Vinay

Thanks for your kind words.

I am not an expert in all the occupations and hence can’t really suggest which would fit your profile. The occupation code should be chosen based on your day to day activities.

Hi Anil,

I’ve applied for ICT support engineer EOI in 190 sub class with 75 points now. What’s your suggestion and comment on this?
Appreciate your help.
Thanks!

Hi @Gaurav

Chances are low for an invite with 75 points at this time.

Hi @Anil.Gupta,
What are the chances for ICT Support Engineer invite with 95 points including state for NSW 190?
Eoi date : 4 April 2020
Also I have 1 year experience in Melbourne currently living , and working in Sydney under a different occupation from 6 months. Can you please advise me if I am eligible for nsw 190 sponsorship according to new rule ?

Many thanks
Prashu

Why is occupation code different for you for your current job?

Hi @Anil.Gupta, I was able to get a job offer as
Junior business Analyst on December in nsw hence relocated.
Prior to that I worked as it support technician in Melbourne for about 1 year 5 months .

I am also actively looking jobs to work in same nominated occupation in nsw.

I have applied for state 190 sponsorship in nsw as there is no additional requirement/ caveat for ict support engineer.
However I am confused on eligibility as I have not worked in same occupation in this state.

As per my information, the job code should be same as what you are currently using to work in Sydney.

Thanks @Anil.Gupta for your help.

As per the information provided in the below link, I was assuming that it’s not a mandatory requirement for me to work in same occupation on the state.

Hi @Anil.Gupta,

Ict support engineer doesn’t have any additional criteria. Is there any chances of invite from NSW for offshore (not living in Australia) at 75 points?

Hi @Anil.Gupta,
Please suggest if additional criteria is not applicable in this anzsco code and not living on shore, am I eligible?

Please check yourself:

Hi, @anil_am22 I’m planning to apply for 190 as an ICT Support Engineer now and I currently work as an IT Specialist in Sydney. I’m in a process of doing a skill assignment and working towards collecting points. I have been working as an IT Specialist for almost 2 years now. Do you think I will be eligible to get an invitation for 85 points? What are the suggestions that you can recommend to me in this situation.

Thanks for your time.
