AVR when H4 extension in pending but H1b approved

Hi

My h1b visa expired 6 months back and I got my extension but my wife’s h4 is still pending after 10 months. Can I use Automatic visa revalidation for me and my wife by traveling to Mexico with my h1 approved petition?

You need a valid I797A/I94 for AVR.
