Can I change to b1/b2 at the end of 6th year h1b

Hi, I am wondering if I can change my status to b1/b2 at the end of 6th year of h1b. Such that my PERM can be processed in mean time.

Legally, you can change to B1/B2 after H1B 6 years but its not recommended as it creates an issue with your ‘intent’.

In the end, its your choice.
