I have a pending PERM approval but might get laid off. Can I proactively switch to a different employer and retain my PERM? I am sure my current employer will not withdraw the application. They simply do not have the budget to withdraw and pay lawyer fees again.
PERM is employer specific and is for a future green card job. If your employer is still willing to sponsor the green card job for you, they may not withdraw your PERM
You can only retain your PD if your PERM is approved.
