Can we get Police verification in India or it is advised to apply at Indian Consulate in USA?

Hi Anil,

We are Indian passport holder living in USA (8+ years). We are planning to go to India.
Can we issue the Police verification in India or it is advised to apply at Indian Consulate in USA?
Which one is recommended and faster?

I recommend getting PCC in USA from Indian embassy.
If you apply it in India, you will have to go through police verification at the Indian address.
