Discontinuation of walk-in consular services

Hi All, I would like to get a Power of Attorney attested from the Atlanta consulate. Since this is very urgent, I was planning to visit the consulate and get it done in person rather than sending it by mail. But the home page says, walk-in consular services are discontinued effective March, 2020 due to covid and the services will continue to be provided through Postal mail/shipping.

But, in Contact Us, it says
"For Miscellaneous Consular Services, applicants may visit the Consulate Office

Monday to Friday 10:00 am to 12:30 pm (Submission of documents) (Pick-up Hours 03.00 pm to 04.00 pm)"

Can someone please help me understand whether the consulate actually allow us to visit the consulate for the attestation or other misc. services? Thanks!

The only way to know is to call the embassy and confirm if they have restarted the in-person services.

Thanks Anil. I called the consulate and they told me that I have to send it by mail only.
