Thanks Anil, Any idea how long it might take to get the visa issued?
I was thinking asking for passports was an approval. I will update once I see any change.
It usually takes anywhere between 1-5 days to issue visa after your passport reaches consulate.

The status changed to issued in CEAC, and the passport status changed to
“Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery”.
I hope there will be a visa on the passport without any surprise.

Not sure this group is correct to post for my doubts.
I’d been to Chennai consulate for the h1+h4(wife + 1kid-7yrs + 1kid-6months) for interview.
I m in EVC model,not directly with end client.
Find below my experience:
date of interview : 16-Aug-2023
VO : Good Morning,Can i have your passports
Me: Sure sir,given all the passports to him
VO : do you know your employer name.
Me : said my XXXXXXX employer name
VO : do you know the salary package given for you in you LCA?
Me: I said XXXXXXXX
VO : Can you pls repeat?
Me : repeated.
VO: Do you have I-129?
ME : No, my employer didnt given
VO : any other document
Me: I797B,offer letter,LCA(original) given
VO : Dont you have I129 (again)
Me: No
VO : which city you will be traveling?
Me:Said the city name
VO : pls wait in the entrance.
Called into another room where an indian lady came and said are you stil interested to go to USA inspite of your low package.
I said, i m happy with this package…She said “i m just giving heads up , you might neeed to wait for few months,Go back to the same counter again now”
VO : Do you have any other documents/letter to support you
Me: given my offer letter and support letter
VO to my wife : Mam, are you working?
She : No, i m not working
VO: ok sir,you can take your passports with you,we are putting your case for the background process and this may take sometime.Once this process completed , we may seek your passports , you dont need to come,just send your passports and keep an eye on your email pls.

No 221g slip was given and the status on the CEAC site is as refused…
I m completely clueless whats happening in my case as no such slip and when i gone thru internet people are talking white/yellow/pink and other colour slips.whats happening , can someone throw some lights on this pls?
