H4 and H4 EAD renewal questions after H1b transfer

Hi, My spouse current h1b validity is till Sep 2024 and so is my H4 and H4 EAD. My spouse decided to change job which will change his expiration date to May/June 2025. I’ve following queries when the renewal time comes

  1. If I chose not to transfer H4 and H4 EAD along with H1B transfer since there is sufficient time and when I apply for renewal of H4 and H4 EAD concurrently 6 months before my expiration date, does my new H4 and H4 EAD gets extended only until May/June 2025, if so then I’ve to apply extension again after my spouse’s H1B is extended.

  2. If the above case if true, wouldn’t it make more sense to get H4 and H4 EAD transferred along with H1B transfer? I’m currently working and would it create any problem to my EAD?

Yes, you understanding is correct. The H4 and EAD are dependent benefits and can only be extended upto H1B validity.
