H4 ead automatic extension

Hi,
I just transferred to a new job.
My wifes h4 visa and ead were valid till sep 2022.
My new company has filed for h4 extension and h4ead for my wife today. Her i94 says 19th sept 2022.

While we wait on her h4ead and h4 extension, can she work beyond sep 2022 using the automatic extension. Or wait for the approval to come in as her i94 will expire.

H4 EAD gets auto extension only if H4 i94 is valid beyond EAD expiry date.

In simple terms, H4 approval will get the new i94 and at that time auto extension can be used.
