H4 Interview or Dropbox as per the new rules

Hi Anil,

I got H1B Stamped first time in July 2021 and didnt travel to USA .
My dependents didnt travel to USA before and they dont have any other visa earlier.

Could you please confirm that they will come under regular interview for H4 or drop box?

I am not sure if the US embassy in India is allowing dropbox for people who never had any US visa earlier.

Based on the below blog, it seems to me that drop box is eligible for H4 dependents never travelled before. Could you please confirm on It. https://in.usembassy.gov/visas/

This new authorization applies to travelers applying for F, H-1, H-3, H-4, non-blanket L, M, O, P, Q, and academic J visas who were previously issued any type of visa, if they are applying for a visa in their country of nationality or residence.

First time US visa will not be eligible for IW.
