H4 to H1B and then back to H4 status

I transferred my H1B to another employer and got approved on 1st May 2024 (93 days over) but I am not working and I am thinking to go for change of status (COS) from H1B to H4 back.
My employer not yet terminated me and not running paychecks.

  1. Will my status become out of status?
  2. Will it effect my I-485?
  3. I have valid H4 till 2027, Will there be any status issue?
  4. How to know my present status?

Your situation is not clear. If the most recent approval is for H1B and the payroll has not been run for over 60 days, you are already out of status.

That means I am out of status since 33 days sir??

I travelled on H4 (I-94 is on H4), and I didn’t travelled again. so my employer said you can stay in US.
Can you please say clearly.

As I said, your situation is not clear from the sequence you have mentioned.

If you traveled and the most recent i94 shows H4, then your status is H4.
