How long I can stay without a job on H1B?

I have received an offer from a new company with a starting date of mid sept .
I am planning to take couple of weeks ( 14 days) off between my exit from the current firm and joining the new firm. I am an H1B visa holder
My question is : will it be a good call to stay without a payroll/on job for 14 days? Will there be any issues?

I suggest to join the new H1B employer without any break.

Take paid time off after you have joined the new company.

Ok thanks Anil : I was thinking to take a break before joining the new one . Will that cause issues ?
