I-485 With a different employer

In a scenario where an individual is working for company A for several years. Company B filed PERM and I-140. When priority date or filing date gets current, can company B file I-485? even though individual never worked for company B? What are the risks of filing or RFEs’ typically expected?

Green card job is a future job. Any company can file your GC as far as they have a suitable job position matching your field of education and skills and the employer has the ability to pay the salary for the job position.

There is always a risk in filing for any kind of immigration benefits be it employment or family or any other categories for that matter
USCIS expects that you start working for the employer who sponsored your GC as soon as it is approved
