Can a derivative applicant file i485 with birthplace (city name different) and first name mismatch between birth-certificate and passport?
I understand the ideal scenario is where there is no mismatch. However this being a common scenario for Indian birth certificates is USCIS usually issuing only RFE which then can be resolved by applicant by explanation letter or will USCIS straightaway deny the application?
If others have any experience with this scenario please share.
@Jayadev_P Need help! I changed employer and currently on H4 EAD and am working as well, can I self file my i485 without i485j supplement which is optional? Do I need to go back to my employer who filed my I140? I’m not sure when will my new employer going to start the process over again…
