ICT security specialist with 80 points has better chance of invite within 3-4 months.
The software engineer EOI has very low chance of invite.
I have IELTS score of 6 in each module(Attended in 2017). So, I am not getting any points for language in the Software Engineer code EOI.
If somehow I can score 20 points through PTE, then my score for Software Engineer Code will reach up to 85(in 189 visa) and 90 (in 190 visa).
My wife’s score is 20 points in the English language, 80(in 189 visa) and 85 (in 190 visa) for ICT Security Specialist.
Do you suggest to apply for PTE for me for improving scores or we can wait on the ICT Security Specialist profile?
It is better to push as much as you can to secure an invite. Do not wait. Go for PTE.

- My wife is an ICT Security Specialist having 70 points(189 Visa &190 Visa VIC).
- For me, 80 +5 points as Electrical engineer (190 Visa VIC).
