Inquiry about passport submission

I’ve been asked to submit passport and i797 from consulate so just wanted to make sure that if I need to send original 797 or xerox/color copy is fine ?

here is the email from consulate:

Greetings from the U.S. Consulate General Mumbai.

Thank you for your inquiry. We have determined that we can proceed with the adjudication of your case and ask that you submit your a copy of your current I-797 to the Consular Section.

Please follow these steps for submitting your documents:

Print two copies of the Document Submission Letter, which can be found here:
https://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/subm…documents.html. Fill out both after printing.

Submit your passport along with a copy of your current I-797, this email, and both copies of the Document Submission Letter at the nearest CGI document drop-off location. For a list of these locations, please visit visit https://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/drop-off-locations.html.

You should submit a copy of I-797. It is also clearly mentioned in the email.

Submit your passport along with a copy of your current I-797, this email, and both copies of the Document Submission Letter at the nearest CGI document drop-off location.

Thanks @Kalpesh_Dalwadi , I submitted passport along with copy of i797, status shows admin processing…not sure if that is good signed… I’m bit worried waiting for since last 9 months and had interview twice , hope moving forward it goes smoother…:blush:
