Is there any minimum validity required on passport to apply for an Australian visa?

I am planning to apply for an Australian visa(SC190) in next week. I am onshore. Unfortunately, my passport has less than 2 months validity. I also applied for a new passport sometimes in February. Due to Covid 19, unable to get new passport asap.

Can I still lodge the visa application?

For Australian Visa, the passport is required to be valid only for the period of visa.

This means that the passport should be valid till the time you plan to exit Australia. There is no 6 months passport validity requirement as per my information.
