VISA STAMP and PETITION EXPIRY DATES ARE DIFFERENT

Hi,

I have got H4 VISA recently but expiration date mentioned in the VISA is 1 MAR 2024 while the principle applicant’s validity is until 12 APR 2024 (i.e. VISA validity is approx… 40 days less than petition validity). I have checked my passport expiry and it is valid beyond APR 2024. Should we contact embassy for clarification or Is this normal ?

You can contact embassy to ask for the reason. They may or may not give any explanation.
