I have just submitted my documents to Kolkata Drop Box for my US Visa stamping. My previous visa stamping happened in 2014 and it expired in 2016. I entered US in 2014 and never came to India since then. My i140 is also approved and my current i797 is valid till Sep, 2023.
I didn’t select the drop box option but while I submitted my DS 160, it was confirmed by the system that I’m eligible for drop box. I was wondering, will the consulate ask for another biometric? I did ask the agent who collected all my documents, he said, if required, consulate will send you an email.
