189 Points test advice, number of years (Vetassess vs EOI)

I just finished 3 years of experience as a Life Scientist. My Skillselect EOI automatically added 5 points for my employment. But my assessment from Vetassess mentions that the first
year spent in this profession is not counted for points test advice. Are they two different things and should I ask the Skillselect to remove those 5 points?

" Points Test Advice:

For Points Test Advice, VETASSESS counts skilled employment within the last ten years in the nominated occupation or an occupation in the same ANZSCO Unit group. Years needed to meet the Skills Assessment requirements will not be counted."

You must enter the start date of employment in skillselect to match what your assessment letter counts as start date to get correct points.
