221G Chances Due to change of Degree/Designation

Hi,

I have a Dropbox (interview waivered) at Kolkata for my first time H1B from F1. I took longer than usual to graduate with my masters, as I switched from computer engineering to electronics engineering (same, reputable University). Also, I was picked for the 2020 lottery and the company had a major restructuring in 2021 due to which my designation changed (role/duties remained the same with same OPT employer). What can I do to avoid the 221g?

If the H1B job had material changes, then the first thing to do was to file the H1B amendment.

Your attorney can guide if the amendment was required or not.

Attorney said no material change as Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) is the same and job duties have remained the same.
