261313 Software Engineer Chance of Invite 2019 Archive

Hi @sudha.apple4

You have good chance of invite in Sep 2019 draw.

Hi,
Could you please let me know when would I get an invite for 189 visa(2613/Software Engineer) with 75 points, date of effect is 10th of June,2019.

Hi @Syed

Chances are low for an invite with 75 points until November with DOE as 10 June 2019.

Did you check if your points will increase with Nov 2019’s upcoming change?

Hi Anil,

Thanks a lot for your response!!

I have 75 points which includes 5 points from " Partner Skill points". Will my points increase by 10 points for ā€œPartner skillā€ or 15 points. My spouse is competent in english, she has a positive skill assessment ( 2613/Software Engineer) and matches the age criteria as well.

Awaiting a response from your end.

Hi @Syed

Did you read the article that i linked earlier? It had an answer to your question.

Hi Anil,
Thanks for your response!

I went through the link shared by you earlier but there wasn’t any clarity regarding spouse who already have claimed 5 points for ā€œPartner Skillā€. As per the article ā€œ10 Points: If your spouse has ANZSCO code in same occupation list as you and has positive assessment along with competent English score, you will get 10 points.ā€ So , will i get additional 10 points which will make ā€œPartner Skillā€ point tally to 15 points or will i get additional 5 points which will make ā€œPartner Skillā€ point to 10 points.

Thanks in advance!!

Hi @Syed

It is clear. You are making it complex.

The total available points in new system are 10 for spouse. If you have already claimed 5, you can only get 5 to get maximum of 10.

Isn’t it fair?

My EOI applied date is 25th May, 2019 with 75 points (me and spouse combined) 261313 ANZSCO code. I have been checking on some other forums that with latest draw the chance of getting an invite has changed to around July 2020. Is it realistic to expect an invite with 75 pts for 261313 code or will this wait time will just extend further ?

HI @Manav

You may get an invite for 261313 with 75 points by November 2019. Your chances may improve after Nov 2019 as you may get additional 5 points for spouse.

Hi Sir,
My EOI was filled on 10 January 2019 under Skilled subclass 189 for Software and Applications Programmers. When can I expect my invitation.

Thank You!
Vishal

@Vishal_Bajpai It would be helpful if you could mention your points and ANZSCO code.
Anil could help when he reviews this.

ANZSCO code: 261313
Total Points: 70

Thank You!

Thanks @v.chow

Hi @Vishal_Bajpai

Chances are low for an invite with 70 points for 261313 at this time. I suggest to increase points to 75 to have any realistic chance going forward.

Thank You Anil. I will apply for spouse points as well. My spouse is an instrumentation engineer. Can you guide me if the application process is same as of an IT professional. If not, can you guide me regarding the steps to fetch spouse points (instrumentation Engineer). Following are my partner’s details

B.Tech Major - Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
Work Experience - 8 Years
Age - 30

Thank You!

Hi Anil,

I have submitted my EOI on 1st of August 2019 for 189 ANZ code 261313 with 80 points.
Looking at the current trend for invites, when can I expect an invite for 80 points?

Thanks,
Karthik

Hi @Vishal_Bajpai

The first step is to find your spouse’s ANZSCO code and then get the assessment done with the corresponding assessment agency.

The assessment agency varies by each code.

Hi @ksampang

You may get an invite in September or October 2019 draw.

Hi Anil,

I accidentally stumbled upon your blog, although it is informative, I am sad with the real picture of visa.

My question is same as others but I need personal validation:)

I’m an offshore candidate with job profile 261313, and have applied for 189 with 75 points on 27July 2019 and 190 (NSW) with 80 points ( I was not aware about the new rules).

Now, it seems impossible to get NSW. Do you recommend to apply for VIC (they need 25 lac rupees as a financial security :frowning: ) or wait till Nov before the new rules for 189 will be applied which will agin push the merit high and the chances would become low for 75 pointers.

Do you think any chance for 75 pointers in coming months as the rank will go very high?

I am planning to get 5 extra points with spouse PTE but cannot applied for ACS as she does not carry any work exp. Can we do ACS with out work exp?

Thanks,
HC

Hi @Bhawana_JoshiLohumi

Welcome to our forum.

The chances of 261313 with 75 points will go down after Nov 2019 definitely.

I do not think ACS will give positive assessment without any work experience but you can still get 5 points after Nov for spouse if they can clear PTE.

I would suggest to file EOI as early as possible and not wait for November.

Also, NSW is out of picture for your case. VIC is still an option and nobody can do anything about the financial conditions that they have placed. It is same for everyone.

Thanks. You suggested to file EOI but the 5 points will be applicable from Nov only. Would they give priority?

Do all the states need financial security? One of my friend who got invite in Apr 2019 from NSW did not go through this.

I have already filled EOI with 75 points.
