261313 Software Engineer Chance of Invite 2019 Archive

Hi Anil, i filed eoi for 261313 with 75 points on april 24 . Do you think i also have less chance of getting an invite after nov 2019. Thanks.Sam

Hi @Bhawana_JoshiLohumi

There is no extra priority given to anyone. Only the highest points will get it.

If there is a tie, then the priority system will come into picture and i have given it here.

NSW does not have any financial security requirement at this time.

Hi @sam5

If your points do not increase in November, then your chances of invitation will go down too.

Hi, I was wondering when I have to reasonably expect to receive the invite for 189 ( 261313 Software Engineer), having lodged my EOI in the beginning of April at 75 points?

Hi @arash_rostami

You may get an invite with 75 points in either August or September 2019 draw.

Hi,

I applied with 70 points as software engineer in Sept2018 for 189 PR

when can i expect the invite ?

Hi Anil,
We submitted the EOI with 75points in Aug. couldn’t apply for spouse points as haven’t got an update from ACS yet for the spouse(applied for ACS July 12, pte is done). One issue is before oct 9th primary applicant age becomes 40 and points will come down to 65 or 70 based on spouse ACS outcome. What do you think are our chances??
Regards,
V

Hi @Netri_Chowdhary

There is no chance of invite with 70 points for software engineer at this time.

I suggest to increase points to 75 to have any realistic chance.

Hi @ViMen

What job code are you talking about?

Hi Anil,
Both are under Software engineer category only and I meant got 75points for 189 only.

Vidya

Hi Anil,
Hope you are doing good!!
My job code is 261313 and my points is 75 with partner skill 5 points (Pte + skilled occupation list) … my date of filling EOI was 21st March 2019. Seems like very less invites were given in Aug and waiting till Nov also won’t help much as my points will change to 80. Which will b equivalent to current bachelors with 70… I need your suggestion over here in two things. Should I wait till November ?? Or should I go for 190 for NSW or VIC with 80 points …??? If yes, then what are the chances of getting the invite from these states?

Thanks
Ashirbad Brahma.

Hi @ViMen

Looking at Aug 11, 2019 draw results, it seems extremely difficult to get an invite anywhere with 70 points.

@ASHIRBAD_BRAHMA
NSW is out of reach if you an applying from outside Australia. They have added a new criteria of living in NSW and 1 year work experience in NSW itself.
VIC can be tried but they have added the bank balance requirement of about 25 lakhs INR.

Aug 2019 draw has only sent invites to people with 85 points!

We submitted the EOI with 75 points on 7 July DOE (I mentioned Aug initially as I thought the date changed to Aug when we updated EOI as the old ACS had expired). Couldn’t apply for spouse points as haven’t got an update from ACS yet for the spouse (applied for ACS July 12, PTE is done).

One issue is before Oct 9th primary applicant age becomes 40 and points will come down to 65 or 70 based on spouse ACS outcome.

But that will only be for the duration of Oct 8 to Nov 16. Then again after Nov 16 it will be 70 or 75 points(We are 90% sure to get the positive assessment from ACS as have valid exp as S/w Engineer and studied CS only ). So we are expecting 80 points in Sept, reduced to 70 in Oct (due to age) and then to 75 points after November 16. What do you think are our chances??

We have applied for some 190s also and one more question i have is when they say cash it includes FDs and RDs or do they really expect the whole thing as cash in our savings acct??

Thanks @Anil.Gupta for your suggestions…Just one correction…I have 75 points…With 75 points also it seems difficult now…

Regarding VIC, is it like I need to show 25 lakhs in my bank account?

Hi @ViMen and @ASHIRBAD_BRAHMA

Cash it normally means the balance in account excluding FD and RD. I will check once again and then confirm though.

The chances of invite with 75 points in 189 will be low after Nov 2019 keeping in mind the current trend.

Thanks a lot @Anil.Gupta for your prompt response…

Thanks Anil. Got the spouse ACS (took 1month 2days to get it) and updated the points. Now points are 80 for 189 and 85 for 190 till oct. Hoping atleast 190 goes through in sept round

Hi @ViMen

Sounds good. I think your have good chance in September 2019 if Australia Immigration decides to send more than 100 invites. Otherwise, Dec 2019 draw would be the one to look forward to.

I don’t think we have any chance. Correct me if I am wrong, I read for NSW we are subject to additional requirement which means we need to be staying in NSW for past 1year.
So no luck for pple applying from India.

After going through https://www.industry.nsw.gov.au/live-and-work-in-nsw/visas-and-immigration/nsw-skilled-occupations-list/nsw-190-priority-skilled-occupation-list

Hello @ViMen what Anil meant is a good chance for 189 Visa with 80 points. 190 is definitely out of picture for NSW for offshore applicants.
