Application Rejected - Wrong Jurisdiction

I just got the notification that my passport renewal application has been rejected with the following reason:

  1. Ineligible/Rejection Reason : PLEASE APPLY ON SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (VFS BRANCH)

However, the application was filed under SF, CA jurisdiction, and Seattle, Washington lies under SF VFS jurisdiction. Atleast that was the only option while filling up the application.

Did anyone face this problem? I don’t know what step I did wrong in the application.
This seems the weirdest issue. Anyone faced this?

You need to file with new Indian embassy in Seattle.

San Francisco Indian embassy does not handle Washington state cases now.

I sent passport renewal package to Seattle, delovered on July 10th and have not heard back anything. The online tracking status is also not updated, just says invalid combination of input. I tried calling Seattle emergency contact but they didn’t answer the phone call. I raised a ticket online and still no response.

It usually takes 1-3 weeks for them to process the application and allow for tracking based upon the current work load. Did you get any updates from them yet? Otherwise, I would wait till mid august.

I live in Seattle and sent it to Seattle jurisdiction but i still got this same rejection email. Any idea what could be the reason?
