Apply L2 EAD while L2 Extension is pending

Hi,
I have a question regarding L2 EAD. My husband’s L1A got approved on May 1, 2020. My L2 status is still pending. I couldn’t apply for my EAD renewal at the time of L1 and L2 renewals. My question is can I apply for EAD renewal now when my husband’s L1A petition is approved with my L2 pending or should I wait for my L2 to get approved? My EAD got expired in Feb, 2020. Thank you

Thank you for your quick response. I have one more question regarding this. What documents would I need to apply for L2 EAD when my L2 extension is still pending? I donot have copy of my husband’s L1A petition approval notice at this time as he hasn’t received it yet. His online case status shows that his case has been approved. Should I wait until he gets a copy of approved petition? Thank you so much!

I suggest to wait for approval copy.

I got i-797 approval notice for my husband’s L1A today, though my L2 is still pending. Can I apply for EAD now or should I wait for my husband’s petition copy?

You will need to submit a copy of the L1 approval with your EAD application.
