Applying H4-EAD Extension with H1B-Extension and H4-Extension Pending

Hello,

My current H4-EAD is expiring on 8/8/25. I am planning to apply for H4-EAD extension in July 2025 based on primary beneficiary(spouse) H1B Extension receipt# WAC*, which means i will file H4-EAD Extension before current H4-EAD expiry. I have below questions for which I need suggestions/advise:

  1. Can i file H4-EAD extension without H4-Extension receipt# or notice copy?

  2. Will I be eligible for 540 days of automatic extension if my H4 Extension gets approved before current EAD expiry?

  3. Will I be eligible for 540 days of automatic extension if my H4 Extension gets approved after current EAD expiry?

You should be able to file H4 EAD extension as H4 EAD asks for the H4 status proof.

But, I would suggest to wait for H4 extension receipt and send it with EAD application.

You should be able to use EAD auto extension if H4 is extended with new i94.

Does it matter if H4 Extension(i94) approval comes before or after current EAD expiry to be eligible for automatic EAD extension?
