Hello, I had filled DS160 under Kolkata consulate for my dad’s B1/B2 renewal. I filled and submitted it in August 2025, but I never got an appointment date. My dad traveled to US after that, so he has new travel history. questions - 1. Do I need to fill the form again? By the time appointment date will come form will be nearly an year old. 2. Should I get the travel history updated the in the old form, how, in case I need to use old one 3. Can i select any other location for appointment? 4. Does drop box still hold? 5. My dad has some hearing issue, how will he understand in interview, is there a special category?
Before going for the interview or dropbox, i would suggest to fill a new DS160 and then submit it along with old one.
Hearing issue-
if it is dropbox, then, its no issue as it is handled by VFS and he can tell them about this issue.
If it is interview at consulate, he can also convey it to the interviewer before starting that he has hearing issues and they will keep it into account.
