Can you work on a L2-S with a valid visa but expired I-94 and renewal in process?

If the primary L1 is in valid status and if you filed your L2 extension of status before your I-94 expired, you can keep working while your L2 EOS is pending. The automatic extension will be for 540 days from the I-94 expiry.
