Dear Anil & experts,

Thanks for your efforts in clarifying forum queries.

I have lodged my EOI for 189 (85 points) and 190 (NSW 90 points) on 14th Apr 20 under 261111.
English: Superior & skills assessment : 15points.

My questions are:

a) The recent trend shows a 90point cut off - do you think, I have a realistic chance in this year to get an invite with my scores above under 189?

b) I have read that NSW doesn’t roll out invite if we don’t have a NSW experience - do you agree to this view that NSW doesn’t roll out at all for non-NSW experience candidates?

c) If NSW is a no - then do you suggest I give it a shot for Victoria - which can give a fair chance?

Hi @Pradeeps

NSW has officially declared for some occupation codes that they won’t invite until the person has NSW experience and is currently living in NSW.

Chances are fair for 85 points but nothing can be said as points requirements are not coming down from 90.

Do apply with all states to increase your chances.

Thank you @Anil.Gupta… Am an offshore applicant with 95points (by May2020). Also have 15 points for skill assessment and 20points for English assessment. I’ll perhaps lose out on points for age by next year April21.

Do you see a chance of me getting an invite from Victoria during 2020 with 95 points given ongoing issues - Your take on my case please?

Hi guys,
I have applied for ICT Business Analyst for Victoria under 190 with 80 points.
ACS deducted a lot of work experience from my total of 7 and considered only 3 years
I wanted to know if Victoria state nomination will consider my overall work experience of 7 years [ or ACS work ex of 3 years]
I read somewhere that Victoria needs 5 years workex to consider for state nomination.

  1. I have 90 points for ICT business analyst 261111 under 189 and 95 for 190NSW marketing specialist category, the availability for this stream is showing LOW with no additional criteria as of now for NSW, this changed from Medium in July 2019 to Low as of now. Which option would have higher chance of PR?

  2. Can I apply for both of this assessment and EOI ?

You have to decide it yourself based on the points that got an invite in last round.

There is no way to find out. States do not share their invite data publicly.

But, usually, the points remain same or above as you would see for 189.

Hi Anil,

I’m in the US and I’ll be here mostly until the end of 2021.

I’m 31 yrs old and I was seeing if I can claim 10 pts for single status and also I’m showing 3.5 years work experience. Would I be eligible for 5 pts for this ?

I’m looking at 85 points totally with all the above combined for ICT Business Analyst 261111.

What are my chances for the invite if I want to move to AU by end of 2021.

My spouse has the same situation , he has to choose between marketing specialist or Business analyst. Were you able to make any research around this . Any insights that you can share as to which one has a better chance.

HI anil,
I have just completed my study in master of information system from VIC Australia. Now I am clueless how to go about PR like should I stay here in VIC or move to some regional state. I do have 28 months of L3 technical support experience back in INDIA. I know I have to apply for TR first but confused as for now the points tally for ICT business analyst is 90 min. and by the time I will get there It might get to 100 so no options then. This thing is eating my brain please help.

What is your thinking on the changes for 261111 - ICT business analysts for NSW this year? Is there any hope of invites for applications who have 90 + points?

I am a Business Analyst with 95 points for 190 and 90 points for 189. I have 5 years of work experience in NSW.

As far as i know, NSW is not sending invites for people outside Australia at this time.

Hi Anil, My wife and I want to apply for PR under 189 but we are a little confused about which skill are we fit for. She is a ICT Product Manager in tech organisation and her job description matches to ICT Business Consultant. Would that be an issue?

The work experience letters will define what she has worked on and what code matches her profile.

You won’t get positive assessment unless the daily job duties match the job code.

Sorry the question is for ICT support engineer onshore with 80 pts living in Sydney for more than 3yrs on a full time permanent role. Would you know if i stand a chance of receiving invite for NSW anytime soon, applied EOI last month. Thanks

What are the chances of getting pre-invite from NSW for 90+5 (SS) points if NSW starts releasing the pre-invitations?
