Change country of birth - Indian passport

Hello.

I am checking to see if anyone has had any experience in getting country of birth changed in Indian passport. From what I have read it requires pre approval from CGISFO. Can someone share the experience and process they had to go through. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I’m having the same issue, trying to get my birth place changed from India to Saudi Arabia in my Indian Passport from New York.
