Clarification on checking IT eligibility criteria for Australia Immigration

I had studied a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in the stream of Electronics and Communication (B.E. - ECE) at Anna University, Chennai and I have a 8+ years of work experience in IT & Software Industry as a software developer.

Now I have 2 doubts.

  1. B.E. ECE comes under IT Major or IT Minor reg - IT content ?

  2. Software development comes under Closely related or not closely related reg - Relevance to nominated occupation and ANZSCO code.

Could someone please clarify me on the above doubts.
