Do I need new H1b stamp if my H4 stamp is still valid?

Hi @anil_am22,

I have a valid H4 stamp till 2026 and I just got picked up for H1b. Do I need to get the H1b stamp right away or can I use my H4 stamp to enter US (along with my new i797). My assumption is that the within country stamping is not starting in 2023.

It depends on what you want to do?
Work using H1B or stay on H4?

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yes I am planning on working on H1b. I am guessing I will need to get the stamp in that case.
