My spouse is on H1b . He moved to an employer who has filed i140. His H1b is now valid till 2025 with the employer change. However I am on h 4 and it is valid through 2024. Do I need to transfer my h4 before applying h4 ead (since the employer is different).
Also if I have to file for h4 transfer , can we file h4 transfer and h4 ead simultaneously.
You don’t need to file H4 transfer unless you want to.
The only caveat is that your H4 EAD validity will be matches with your current H4 validity (if you apply H4 EAD now).
