I have approved I-140 from employer A, and priority date is Jan 2016. However, I have left the employer and moved to India few years back. As the priority date is current is not current now, Is it possible for me to apply for GC through consular processing while staying in India when PD becomes current?

employer A does not exits any more.

If yes then when should i start working on counselor process.

Also if i find another employer after my PD becomes current do i have to get labor I 140 and 485 needs to filed by that employer?

You need to file another i140 and port the existing i140 to maintain your priority date.

The green card can only be approved if the i140 is valid and the job offer is available at the time your date gets current.

You can start the consular process by filling DS260 form once your date gets current.

Ok my understanding was i140 approved from employer a and just show offer from employer b with employer a i140 approved documents.
