Asking for a friend, He got his PERM and I-140 filed by Company A(An indian consulting services company) deputed at Company B(large wallstreet bank), he recently converted to direct fulltime with that bank continuing the same role. His dates are now current in EB2, Company B(the bank) is not starting the PERM process . He is asking if he can initiate the I-485 process on his own working with a private attorney, by using the I-140 filed by the company A. However Company B is willing to provide I-485J ,Could you please share your thoughts on this ? Is this a legally allowed provision? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks in advance
