My company earlier refused to provide me the employment reference with the exact format that ACS is looking for. However, I have managed to get roles and responsibility letter by saying that I need it for my higher education. And they have mentioned the university and the course name as well on the letter.
Can I use that letter for filing skills assessment with ACS? The letter has all skills, dates, employer name and work hours etc… with the university and the course name on it.

The university and course name should not be an issue.
Just read the letter and see if something specific is not written with respect to study and university.
