Extend H4 EAD after H1-B Amendment approval even though EAD is valid for long term

Hi Anil,

(A) I had a H1-B Transfer/Extension approved for Concurrent employment.
When this was happening H4 and H4EAD got approved too with validity till Oct 2021

(B) Few months after i moved to the second employer who sponsored me, and there was an amendment filed when i moved full-time - which is pending approval, which is expected to get dates till June 2022

Now, can H4 (i suppose yes) and H4 EAD applications be submitted to match the June 2022 dates if the amendment is approved?

Hi @purvitha

You cannot file any application before 180 days of its expiry (both H4 and H4 EAD).

The only thing allowed is to file H4 and H4 EAD along with H1B amendment. This is called concurrent filing.

No, you cannot file or attach H4 and H4 EAD applications with RFE response.
