I am planning to apply for my passport renewal under Tatkal and have found a small issue.
My current expiring passport has my Fathers Name as
‘John Smith’ (for example) but all his own documents like passport and Aadhar has his name as ‘John Patrick Smith’. So I am entering his full name in the government application form. But when i enter details of my passport as they are and i reach the field where I need to enter my father’s name as it is on my current passport the missing middle name issue arises. Should I write a letter to vfs and send it with my other documents that I am fine with his name being as it is on my old passport or send a copy of his passport as proof and they might add his middle name on the new one?
I suggest to send a letter along with the copy of your father’s passport.
