Father's name different in my passport Vs. his original docs

Hello Everyone,

I have a unique situation here:
I’m in USA.
In my passport, My father’s name is spelled as (Surname-1) (FirstName_without a letter A).
But all my father’s original docs - Adhar, voter-ID, PAN-card, etc have his name as (Surname-1) (Surname-2) (FirstName_with letterA). My father doesn’t have a passport yet.
I am planning on applying passports for my parents.

  1. How to rectify this issue while applying for my parents’ passports?
  2. Will there be any issue with the situation I have here either at VISA interviews or immigration, etc.?

Can you please let me know if you were able to get your father’s name corrected in your passport? If yes, what documents were required? Were you required to submit any name change document for your father from India?
