hi @anil_am22
We filed h4 after 15 days of i94 expiry [ NPT ] due to misunderstanding that we can only file h4 extension after h1B extension is approved . We have discussed with attorney and filed the same.
Will it be fine to wait over 180 days and have we seen such cases previously got approvals, as now a days it is taking lot of time get the results .

Chances of denial are high. They may also send an RFE to explain status gap of 15 days.
Talk to your attorney. You should have filed H4 as NPT (Nunc Pro Tunc).

Chances are good if your reason on not filing on time is genuine.
Hi @anil_am22 it was due to misunderstanding that we need to file h4 after h1 approval. Will uscis consider this?
HI All, Did anyone filed NPT recently and got approval ?
hi @anil_am22 Can we wait over 180 days if we don’t get the approval by that time? As now a days it is taking more time for extension requests.
Also we are not getting appointments in India so not sure .
Can you pls suggest

Its your choice. Please talk to your attorney as they know details about the delayed filing reason and then the chances of its approval.
