GC EAD and AP renewal - Current Immigration Status?

My GC EAD and AP is due for renewal now, I have travelled on AP but didn’t change my I9 document which means i am still on H-1B.

On 765 form I have following doubts
"Immigration status at your last arrival ?
“Your Current Immigration Status or Category”. { should I put H-1B or AOS Pending}

Once you use AP to enter the US, you will end up in parole status however may continue to work with same employer till your H1B petition is valid without need to use your EAD. After you apply for extension of status before your current H1B expires and once EOS is approved you switch back from parole to H1B status.

AOS pending, if you haven’t applied for H1B EOS after entering back.
