My tatkal passport renewal status was updated today with the following status:

I emailed SFO consulate. This passport was last renewed at the New York consulate, hence the SFO consulate responded back by saying that New York Consulate is processing this application and waiting for police clearance.
After a few days of waiting, the status just updated on its own to ‘Granting Initiated’, and then ‘Application Granted on post police verification basis’. It was just delivered last week.
I’m not sure if its related but the info in my passport application needed a correction for which I had to send a separate consent letter to authorize the consulate to make the correction. My last passport was also from a different consulate than the current one, but again I’m not sure if it’s related.
