H-1B Visa Stamp: Can I choose interview even though I qualify for dropbox?

Hi - I got a 221(g) slip the last time I tried dropbox in 2019, and this resulted in 45 days of delay. Eventually, I was finger-printed and had a brief consular interview which was successful. This time around, I would like to just skip the dropbox and go straight for an interview (PTSD perhaps!), and wanted to know if that is an option. After going through the checklist on cgifederal, it recommends that I go for dropbox again this time.

Can you please advise me if forcing the website to do ‘interview’ would be unadvisable, and what are the concerns around doing that?

You cannot ‘force’ the system unless you deliberately choose to answer the questions incorrectly. That’s not advisable.
