H1B and H4 same day approval

Hi,

I would like to get clarification on a few questions below, if someone can help that will be great.

  1. I was let go from my previous employer at the end of October 2025. I had filed for H4 and H4 EAD in December 2025 and my new employer filed for my H1 petition with premium processing while my H4 petition was pending. I received RFE for my H1B COS application and was later resolved and approved, and 3 days later, my H4 petition was approved too. Also, my H4 EAD application got RFE for biometrics to which I am yet to respond. Both my H1 and H4 approval notices have the same validity date, starting from April 03, 206. So the question is what status I will be in this case?
  2. In the above situation, is it recommended to withdraw H4 status as the H4 petition filed gave me a valid status to stay in the USA while I was out of a job between October till now?

Most recent action date is considered valid. If H4 is the most recent action, then, I would consider myself on H4.
