Hi, My previous assignment was completed back in April and my H1B was expired in June. My employer filed an extension with in-house project back in May and currently the extension petition is in progress. I started a new assignment as a contractor in July and filed an amendment and that is also in progress, now I got an opportunity to apply for a full time job in a different company who can sponsor for my visa, is it safe to move to a full time job when the extension petition is still in progress, i am a little concerned to decide because my extension petition is from a consultancy in-house project, please help?
The extension application can act as a bridge however I would upgrade the current extension of status to premium processing and once approved, apply for H1B transfer with the full time employer.
