H1B extension beyond Maxout

My H1B visa got extended for an additional one year beyond six years because my perm is filled a year before the six year Max-out date. My current employer is going to file the I140 soon.
If I get a better opportunity:

  1. Can I change the employer?
  2. Can the new employer file a new PERM then I140?

I would suggest to wait for PERM approval and then change the employer to be on safe side.

Yes I agree with you, even I do not want to change the employer. Here, I am just checking technical feasibility, if some situation arises, if I have to choose a new employer then can i move to a new employer and can they file a PERM and 140?
