H1B extension RFE, change of status to B1 and H1 transfer

Greetings Team,
Applied for H1B extension within I-94 validity ( I-140 approved ), got an RFE after I-94 expiry with maintenance of status remarks.

  1. Now can I first initiate the change of status to B1/B2 and apply for H1 transfer?
  2. Do they verify the previous RFE?
  3. H1 transfer approval with Counselor processing? if yes, what are the challenges in getting approved during visa interview?
  4. Any possibilities of not leaving the US and get an approval with H1B transfer?
  5. Can my current employer cancels the initial H1B petition which got an RFE?

They will verify previous RFE.

Its not as simple as you might think.

Since i94 has expired, the pending H1B extension has become the bridge application and it needs to be approved.

The other option is to leave US and then get visa stamp.

Can I change the status to B1 first then apply for H1 transfer and wait for the result?

Is above statement is after H1 transfer approval, to leave US for counselor processing?

Every change of status that you file now will depend on the pending extension as i94 has already expired.
